Emirates airlines fleet average age

In 2009-10, the airline’s passenger fleet expanded with the delivery of 15 new aircraft, four Airbus A380’s, 10 Boeing 777-300ERs and one Boeing 777 freighter. At the end of the financial year Emirates’ fleet reached 142 aircraft including four freighters. During the year Emirates became the largest Boeing 777 operator when it took delivery of its 78th B777 aircraft. The current fleet of all wide-bodied aircraft has an average age of 69 months – one of the youngest commercial fleet in the skies.

Recently refurbished with new seating, it is one of the largest aircraft in emirates airlines fleet.
EK have nine of these aircraft in two and three class configurations, all powered by Rolls Royce engines. The aircraft delivered to UAE in 1996.

With 44 of 77w aircraft in fleet, emirates have a further 27 on order.The airline’s long-range 777s have also been equipped with its very latest onboard products including private suites in First Class, lie-flat massage seats in Business Class, and ergonomically designed seats in Economy Class.


Emirates received its first 777-200LR jetliner in August 2007, making it one of the newest aeroplanes not only in fleet, but in any commercial fleet.

First added to our fleet in 1999, we now have 29 of a332 aircraft.

Emirates A380 EK 306 Dubai-Beijing

The 517-seater airbus A380 800 will be deployed on the existing EK 306 service that departs Dubai daily at 04:10 hrs, touching down in the Chinese capital Beijing city at 15:10 hrs. Return flight EK 307 takes off from Beijing Capital International Airport at 23:55 hrs, landing at Terminal 3, Dubai International Airport at 04:20 hrs the following day.

Emirates airline will step up its presence in West Asia with additional services to Colombo, and Malé from its home base in Dubai. The expansion also signals the resumption of Emirates’ flights on the Malé -Colombo route.

In all Emirates will add four flights to Colombo and five to Malé, bringing its total frequency to 18 flights per week to Sri Lanka and 14 flights per week to the Maldives.
EK 654 will operate a circular route, Dubai- Malé -Colombo-Dubai, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday using a modern Airbus A330 aircraft in a three-class configuration of 12 First, 42 Business and 183 Economy Class seats.

Emirates will also introduce an additional direct connection between Dubai and Colombo every Friday on EK 650, and another two connections between Dubai and Malé on Wednesday and Friday with EK 658. These services will be operated with the technologically-advanced Boeing 777 series of aircraft offering 12 First, 42 Business and 310 Economy Class seats.
