Very few people, no matter what their net worth and the level of their intelligence and financial savvy, do a kind of budgeting for travel, said Gary Buffone, a psychologist and Director of the family Business Center, in Jacksonville, Fla as quoted in an article on www.cbs.marketwatch.com. It goes without saying that you take a vacation to relieve stress. Why would a healthy person ruin the euphoria of a holiday with the mundane task of budgeting

If the average family 1.6 are going to spend holidays and 1 domestic annual international holiday than they at least $ 5000 on vacations per year. The click & pay now or pay later! Gets a new meaning if you pay by credit card later. When you add the importance grows, the cost to pay off these holidays up to $ 9148.62. (More than 4 year, 18% interest) Add that cost over 4 years of vacations, the credit card debt is astronomical. It's easy to see why the average American family has a lot of credit card debt. The easiest way to eliminate these credit card debt is not all the blame on or create a system to pay it off before you create it. Most people do neither make stress after the holiday.

Makes budgeting is most people-rebellion seems so complicated. Who wants to take the time to perform the mathematical calculations nobody. Ida Byrd-Hill, has a veteran financial advisor of 10 years a self holiday budget form calculation. The form complete all calculations after you basic information such a plan/train input/cruise ticket prices, number of nights and number of people going on holiday. The form makes it easier to save for vacations, as you will know the real cost of the holiday and whether you need some more save money or assign a larger portion on your credit cards. The best part is that you don't need to do complex calculations. The form is found at www.livinginstyleonline.com.

    Durham, NC August 21, 2005

The Road Less Traveled Theatre, by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., is proud to present its production of Aaron Sorkin&39;s "A Few Good Men" at Duke University&39;s Page Auditorium for three performances on Sept. 9 and 10, 2005.

Film fans will recall the 1993 production of &39;A Few Good Men&39; with Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise, which was nominated for several awards and was awarded "Movie of The Year" at the MTV Movie Awards in 1984. The RLTT production stars Mitchell W. Butts as Col. Nathan Jessep and Kevin Holmes as Lt. Harold W. Dawson and Shawn Rhodes as Private First Class Louden Downey), and the investigation which follows. This compelling performance presents both fans and critics of the military with a new and previously unseen look into the code of ethics which exists inside our nation&39;s military, and will provoke thought among all who see it.

Online Registration Plays Key Role in Handling Sold-Out Events RegOnline Helps Carlson Wagonlit Take Travel and Event Registration Online

    Boulder, CO September 15, 2005

Sharon Davis of Wagonlit Travel had done her homework for her group travel event for their &194;“Official Companion Tour&194;” arranged for the Allen High School Band performing at the Tournament of Roses Parade. Her marketing efforts were in place and her online registration form was ready. Taking registrations online turned out to be a saving grace. Registrations began pouring in even before the official start time was reached.

&194;“Had we not had an automated process, our small group department would have been totally overwhelmed by the response we received to this event. Watching the trip sell out before our very eyes, we were free to spend our time adding capacity and getting more product out there to sell &194;– which we did three time,&194;” stated Davis.

Creating a well-designed website was also key to Davis&194;’ success. Ninety-percent of registrants found all of the information they needed to register on the website and event registration form; resulting just a handful of people calling in to register. &194;“We were pleasantly surprised by the number of online registrations we received and it definitely exceeded our expectations,&194;” Davis commented.

Davis and her group also used several standard and custom reports generated through RegOnline to manage inventory, create rooming lists and airline flight manifests, monitor and reconcile payments and maintain a day-to-day, or in their case, hour-to-hour snapshot of the overall event. The company is also adopting the technology in two other areas of group operations, which are very different in scope, but can be managed via RegOnline because it&194;’s a flexible application.

RegOnline&194;’s pay-per-use is also an attractive feature as it doesn&194;’t lock clients into long-term contracts making it more economical to use for either one-off events or frequent events. In addition to online registration forms, RegOnline&194;’s system also provides name badge software, unlimited reports, and a secure platform to process online credit card payments. All for just $3 per registration (credit card fees additional).

If you would like more information about this topic or would like to schedule interviews with anyone mentioned in this release, please contact Cindy Jennings at 303-577-5120.

New Self Check In Hotel Kiosk at the Garden Court, Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa

    February 16, 2010

In February Southern Sun Garden Court Sandton City, will launch Africa’s very first hotel self check-in and check-out kiosks.

“A great day begins and ends with a great stay, says Priya Naidoo General Manager of Communications at Southern Sun. “Southern Sun’s extensive guest research has pin-pointed that today’s traveller is pushed for time. We are delighted to provide an alternative, time-saving check-in and check-out service for our business guests and for families travelling with children, where a speedy check-in is always fundamental.

This innovative technology at Southern Sun Garden Court Sandton City, reinforces the group’s brand philosophy of being a vanguard of hospitality innovation. More and more consumers are embracing technologies geared towards self-service. Managing Director of Southern Sun; Graham Wood says “Our guests already use self check-in facilities at airports and the movies, and at economy, economy plus and brand hotels overseas. Generally, they welcome technology that enables them to ‘do it themselvesnot to mention quickly.

The kiosk allows guests to check-in and out and to perform certain in-house functions within the hotel environment. The touch screen application facilitates easy interaction. To use the self check-in service, guests simply identify themselves at the kiosk with a reservation number or credit card, for example. The kiosk integrates with the hotel’s operational system, allocates a room, authorises a debit or credit and dispenses a room key card. Through a similar identification process, it also allows guests to check-out, charging to a debit or credit card, or billing back to the guest’s company or travel agent.

“The self-service environment permits guests to make choices at their own pace. It instills a sense of control, provides a quick service and maintains privacy. For those who prefer anonymity, self check-in is the perfect vehicle,Wood explains.

For those seeking a human interaction, Garden Court Sandton City hostesses will continue to provide check-in services at reception, and will also be available to assist customers with the self check-in terminals if needed.

The Garden Court promise to guests encompasses energised service delivery. “We continually endeavour to bring innovation to the forefront, to implement new technologies and new ways of working, and to generate new processes that truly benefit our guests, says Wood.

Laid Off Home Instead Senior Care Network Issues Tips for Finding a New Career in Franchising

    Omaha, NE August 02, 2011

Chris Blaine and Dave Parke are casualties of the recession who’ve bounced back in a big way, thanks to franchising. Parke was riffed from his job as an executive with the new accounts card division of a major credit card company when the entire division closed. Blaine was laid off from a new position as VP of Brand and Advertising at a credit card insurance company that nixed plans to expand amid the recession.

Considering their respective industries and the current economic climate, neither Blaine nor Parke were surprised by their job fate. Both also had severance packages, which allowed them some flexibility. And like many of the millions who have left or lost jobs in the recent recession, the two explored their options.

“Did I want to go back to corporate AmericaBlaine asked himself. A young family of four boys and the prospect of frequent travel convinced him to look for a business that he could call his own. Blaine and his family moved from Omaha, Nebraska, to purchase a Home Instead Senior Care&174; franchise in Springfield, Missouri, when he learned about the organization from a friend and mentor in the corporate office.

“Having worked in financial services and insurance, and looking at trends, there was definitely an increasing need for home health for seniors. It’s been good, very rewarding work, said Blaine, whose 40 Home Instead CAREGivers(SM) provide non-medical in-home care and companionship services to about the same number of seniors. “Seeing a family’s peace of mind that Mom and Dad are being looked after is as rewarding as working on multi-million dollar projects.

Parke’s career path also led him to the Home Instead Senior Care network to open a new office in West Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. He’d had a glimpse into the needs of seniors when he worked for a short time after being laid off for a company that helps seniors obtain insurance. “As I would listen to the phone calls, I could hear the fear in seniorsvoices. I just wanted to do something to bring them peace and serenity.

One night, when he was searching the Internet for care for his father-in-law, Parke found Home Instead Senior Care. He was stunned by the consistent level of satisfaction he discovered when talking with Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners throughout the country. Since buying the new territory, he’s also enjoyed cooperation from a neighboring Home Instead Senior Care franchise. “It’s been an amazing year. My business has grown every single month.

Tim Connelly, director of Franchise Development for Home Instead, Inc., said that franchising remains a viable option in today’s weak market. And Home Instead Senior Care is a positive and promising career track for many. “Like any business opportunity, you have to do your research and go into it with your eyes wide open. It isn’t for everyone, but so many have found personal and professional rewards in serving a growing senior demographic who needs help to remain safe and independent at home,/a> Connelly said.

To help provide a resource to entrepreneurs interested in franchising, the Home Instead Senior Care network has issued tips for those looking for a new franchise business opportunity.

Another resource to research franchising opportunities is Franchise Business Review, which in its most recent report listed the Home Instead Senior Care network as the top franchise by units and revenues. The report also revealed that the Home Instead Senior Care network offers one of the lowest initial investments and the highest yield ratios (Average Unit Revenue/Average Investment) in the group. The organization has been ranked best in category for franchisee satisfaction since 2007.

    ABOUT HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE

-- Chains are not just for accessorizing. When in the room, lock the door AND chain or bolt it for extra security.

  • Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Takes Top Honors at Frequent Flyer Awards Ceremony

    Dallas, TX May 3, 2005

For seven straight years in a row, Southwest Airlines was honored with first place for Best Award Redemption at InsideFlyer magazine&39;s 17th annual Freddie Awards ceremony last week in New York City. The airline has won this honor each of the seven years that the magazine has awarded it. Along with the Best Award Redemption, Southwest received first place awards for Best Customer Service and Best Bonus Promotion.

"We are excited the flying public recognizes the value and simplicity of the Rapid Rewards program," said Debra Benton, Southwest&39;s Director of Loyalty and Partnership Marketing. "We strive to make the program Customer friendly and easy to use. The Freddie Awards confirm that our program gives frequent flyers what they want -- outstanding Customer Service and a simple way to earn and redeem free travel."

Each year, InsideFlyer magazine invites members of all frequent traveler programs to vote for the programs they feel deliver the best combination of benefits, awards, and returns on loyalty from the traveler&39;s point of view. Winners are determined not only by how many votes a program receives, but by the overall merits of each program as reflected in "value voting," where voters rate their favorite programs on a scale of one to ten. More than 315,000 frequent flyers submitted ballots to Freddie Awards organizers, casting votes for programs worldwide.

Southwest also was honored with second place awards in the categories for Program of the Year, Best Web Site, Best Member Communications, and Best Bonus Promotion. For the second place Best Bonus Promotion, the airline was honored for the Visa credit card promotion where Rapid Rewards Members received double credit when purchasing airfare on southwest.com using a Visa card (October 1 - December 15, 2004). The airline has won several Freddie Awards from InsideFlyer over the years and has been given high marks for many program elements.

"If loyalty had to be based on a single factor, it would be Customer Service. Southwest&39;s Rapid Rewards [program]] not only understands this, but for the fourth straight year, and fifth time overall, has been singled out by the traveling public as the single best example," Randy Peterson, InsideFlyer Editor and Publisher, said during the awards ceremony in New York City.

Southwest&39;s Rapid Rewards program lets frequent flyers stop counting miles and start taking trips. "It&39;s easy to earn trips, and it&39;s even easier to redeem them," Benton said. "It&39;s a program members can actually use, not just dream about."

Members earn credits by flying or doing business with the program&39;s preferred partners. A roundtrip equals two credits (a one-way ticket equals one). Members must fly eight roundtrips or earn 16 credits in a 12-month period to receive a roundtrip award. Once the award is earned (by flying, buying, staying, driving, surfing the Internet, or talking on the phone), Southwest automatically sends the Ticketless Award to the Customer&39;s online account -- free travel fast with no hassle. Plus, Southwest allows the member to transfer the award to anyone. The Award is free but subject to the U.S. government September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 roundtrip.

Currently, Southwest offers Rapid Rewards Members double credit for flights into or out of Baltimore/Washington International or flights to or from Chicago Midway booked on southwest.com and flown by August 3, 2005. At the elite level, Southwest offers members who fly 50 roundtrips (or earn 100 credits) within 12 months a Companion Pass, which allows a member to designate a traveler to fly with them free of charge for 12 months.

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) is the nation&39;s largest carrier in terms of scheduled domestic departures. The airline currently serves 59 airports in 31 states. Based in Dallas, Southwest currently operates nearly 3,000 flights a day and has 31,000 employees systemwide. The carrier will begin service to Pittsburgh on May 4, 2005.

Research reveals UK holidaymakers fail to plan ahead for travel money

    London, UK November 15, 2009

As the cold winter weather encourages UK holidaymakers to travel to long-haul destinations for warmer weather, research has found that less than half (48 per cent) of UK travellers fail to calculate their holiday spend accurately or taking enough foreign currency away with them. (1)

Londoners were found to be the least organised with foreign exchange: more than one in five (22 per cent) didn’t arrange their foreign currency before heading off to the airport. On the savvier side, residents from the North East were most likely to purchase foreign currency before travel, with almost two-thirds shopping in advance of travel for the best deals on foreign exchange

The Post Office warns that using UK holidaymakers using ATM machines abroad to get their travel money can be extremely when compared to buying foreign currency before travelling, as it has been reported that commission fees can cost up to &163;6 per transaction for credit or debit card cash withdrawals. (2)

Additional research has found that &163;7.8bn in foreign currency was withdrawn from cash machines by UK holidaymakers abroad in 2009, resulting in &163;326m in commission charges and cash advance fees (3) on travel money.

Sarah Munro, Head of Post Office Travel Services, said: “Make sure you buy commission-free foreign currency in advance and avoid withdrawing travel money abroad at ATMs as you will be charged and it can be difficult to keep tabs on your spending.

Consumers are Burying Their Head in the Sand When It Comes to Credit Repayments - Particularly in Yorkshire

    November 19, 2009

Yorkshire has been exposed as the region most likely to struggle when it comes to credit card payments, according to research from Confused.com.

Thirty five per cent of Yorkshire residents, who have had their account closed by their provider, have had it closed because of inability to keep up with repayments, closely followed by the South East, 33% of which have suffered the same penalty.

The North East and East Anglia fair better; of all the UK&39;s regions they have the lowest number of accounts closed due to non-payment at only 8%.

Head of credit cards at Confused.com, Joanne Garcia, said: "Creditcard users in all regions need to understand how damaging it can be to miss repayments. While it may not seem like a big deal to miss a few payments here and there, credit providers - which include mortgage lenders - leave no stone unturned when it comes to checking a person&39;s credit worthiness. It they see a history of non-payments it makes it much more difficult to borrow money.

Confused.com advises those who are struggling to make repayments on time to set up a direct debit for at least the minimum payment with their bank and check on Confused.com to make sure they are getting the best card for their profile by using the free credit profiling tool. In addition, the Confused.com credit check tool will tell people the likelihood of acceptance before committing to an application, so no unnecessary credit footprints will be left in the wake of a rejection"
