Emirates airlines fleet average age

In 2009-10, the airline’s passenger fleet expanded with the delivery of 15 new aircraft, four Airbus A380’s, 10 Boeing 777-300ERs and one Boeing 777 freighter. At the end of the financial year Emirates’ fleet reached 142 aircraft including four freighters. During the year Emirates became the largest Boeing 777 operator when it took delivery of its 78th B777 aircraft. The current fleet of all wide-bodied aircraft has an average age of 69 months – one of the youngest commercial fleet in the skies.

Boeing 777-200
Recently refurbished with new seating, it is one of the largest aircraft in emirates airlines fleet.
EK have nine of these aircraft in two and three class configurations, all powered by Rolls Royce engines. The aircraft delivered to UAE in 1996.

Boeing 777-300ER

With 44 of 77w aircraft in fleet, emirates have a further 27 on order.The airline’s long-range 777s have also been equipped with its very latest onboard products including private suites in First Class, lie-flat massage seats in Business Class, and ergonomically designed seats in Economy Class.


Emirates received its first 777-200LR jetliner in August 2007, making it one of the newest aeroplanes not only in fleet, but in any commercial fleet.
This long range airliner has the capability to connect virtually any two cities in the world non-stop

emirates have 55 Airbus aircraft in current fleet and a further 121 on order

Airbus A340-500
The first of a new generation ultra long range passenger airliners introduced to our fleet in the last quarter of 2003. emirates now have ten of 345 aircraft.
Airbus A340-300
Similar in many respects to our A330-200s but equipped with four engines giving a much enhanced range, ek have eight of a343 in fleet.
Airbus A330-200
First added to our fleet in 1999, we now have 29 of a332 aircraft.
