When you fly with Emirates, as well as earning Skywards Miles you will also earn the equivalent amount of skyward tier miles. These are used to move you up the membership tier, from Blue to Silver to Gold status, opening up even more valuable benefits and rewards.

Collecting Miles
Miles are accrued automatically, so there is nothing you need do other than to quote your Skywards membership number when you book your flight, and present your membership card when you check-in. The Miles will be credited to your account when you reach your final destination, as per the booking class you have purchased.
Once you reach Silver and Gold status, you will also earn bonus Skywards Miles when you fly with Emirates® – an additional 25% for Silver members, and 50% for Gold.

The following type of tickets do not qualify to earn Miles and cannot be used to avail of the Skywards programme benefits:
employee tickets;
industry and agent discounted tickets;
reward tickets;
contra tickets;
prize & promotional tickets;
consultant & PR tickets;
specially discounted diplomat & government tickets
free travel and non-scheduled or charter flight tickets;
non-public specially discounted travel tickets;
denied Boarding Options tickets; and
reward tickets issued by other frequent flyer or loyalty programmes in which Skywards is a participant;
