TAP Portugal introduces four weekly direct flights between Miami and Lisbon starting June 6th, 2011.
These new flights will operate in addition to the airline’s existing service between new york Newark and the two Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Porto. With the introduction of its nonstop route between Miami and Portugal, TAP provides the South Florida market nonstop access to its modern hub airport of Lisbon, Europe’s most western entrypoint gateway.
TAP’s Miami route will be flown with modern Airbus A330 equipment configured for two classes of service: Business and Economy. TAP’s fleet of long-haul A330 features superior long haul passenger comfort components such as: Recaro Lie Flat ergonomic seats with full recline up to sleeping position, individually-controlled Audio & Video monitors, electronic noise-reduction headphones and onboard phones in Business Class; Economy Class travelers have individual in-seat Audio & Video monitors and in-flight phones.

This new route strengthens TAP’s presence and expansion in North America, while solidifying their commitment to Miami as an important hub through which to capture passengers and cargo from diverse regions, including Central America and northern South America.
