Virgin America Elevate Triple Points promotion

To encourage flyers to “get in the ring” with O’Hare’s newest airline, Virgin America today launches a series of knockout deals:

VX Elevate triple points offer**** is available now for travel through August 31, 2011, between SFO or LAX and ORD Chicago and Dallas DFW. Elevate is Virgin America’s no black-out date frequent flyer program, which offers guests the ability to redeem points to book air tickets– on any flight, at any time. Elevate has one of the industry’s most generous reward programs, with as few as four roundtrips or 2,500 points earning a reward flight. For more on the offer: http://www.virginamerica.com/vx/triple-points-promo.

VX Elevate members who meet the registration, booking and travel requirements will get triple points for all flights during this time. (For instance, if a member has 2 roundtrips, then they will get triple for both roundtrips.)

The typical earn for Elevate members is 5 points per $1 spent on the base fare – in this promotion, they will earn 15 points per $1 spent on the base fare. Flights eligible for the promotion are all flights between ORD and SFO, ORD and LAX, DFW and SFO, and DFW and LAX each way. Guests must be enrolled in Elevate prior to registering for this promotion. Elevate members must register prior to their travel date to be eligible for the bonus points. Elevate members must correctly add their Elevate number to their reservation prior to their travel date. Registration ends on 8/31/11. The promotion applies to ALL specified flights (including ones that have been booked prior to May 25, 2011) that are flown between 5/25/11 and 8/31/11. Points Posting: Elevate members will receive their points for the flights in 2 steps: After the flight is flown, they will receive the normal 5 points per $1 in their Elevate account. Within 4-6 weeks after the flight being flown, they will then receive the 10 additional bonus points per $1 in their Elevate account (for a total of 15 points per $1.)

Points required to redeem an Elevate travel reward on Virgin America will be publicly available on a seat and flight-specific basis and are subject to change. Domestic reward bookings are subject to a security fee of $2.50 per segment, payable by credit card or Virgin America credit file. The Passenger Facility Charge and Segment Fees are waived for domestic reward bookings. For international reward bookings, Virgin America guests are responsible for the taxes and fees incurred from international travel.
