Copenhagen – Doha: Qatar Airways’ most rapidly growing route

Since Qatar Airways began operating from Doha to Copenhagen in March 2010, Copenhagen Airport has been the destination in Europe with the most rapid and highest growth in the airline’s history.

The airline launched its Copenhagen service in 2010 with four weekly frequencies and upgraded to larger aircraft with more seats on 15 October 2010. In February 2011, an additional two weekly frequencies will be added, and daily frequencies will be launched with the start of the summer programme in March 2011. This means that Qatar Airways offers daily connections to destinations such as Bangkok and Delhi, and connections to other Indian destinations will also improve significantly.

Turkish Airlines has also decided to focus further on its service to Copenhagen Airport in 2011. This will take effect with the launch of the summer programme, when the airline will add an additional four weekly frequencies on its service to Istanbul, bringing the total number of weekly frequencies from Copenhagen to Istanbul to 18. The change increases the possibilities of travelling at low fares to other Turkish destinations as well as to Bangkok and Tokyo via Istanbul.
