COPA Airlines fly to O'Hare from Panama

Panama-based Copa Airlines to flying to Chicago O’Hare Airport ORD from Panama Tocumen International Airport beginning in December of 2011.Chicago will be Copa Airlines' sixth destination in the U.S.

The flight will depart Chicago's O'Hare International Airport at 8:09 a.m., arriving at Copa's Hub of the Americas in Tocumen International Airport in Panama City at 2:28 p.m. The return flight will depart Panama at 6:34 p.m., arriving in Chicago at 11:06 p.m. Copa will operate a Boeing 737-700 Next-Generation aircraft on the flight, with seating for 12 passengers in Business Class and 112 in the main cabin.

Copa's on-board service includes complimentary meals and beverages, including wines and spirits; a 12-channel audio-visual entertainment system in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with new movies monthly and complimentary headsets. Flight attendants are bilingual.

Andolino. “Establishing additional international air service to the Chicago market is an important part of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s overall vision to spur economic growth and job development in the city and region.”

Chicago will be Copa’s first destination in the Midwestern United States and the new route will be the first nonstop service between Chicago and Panama City, Panama. This service is a result of the CDA’s ongoing efforts to attract new domestic and international carriers to the Chicago market.
