SAA A330 200 fly Mumbai JNB route

South African Airways new Airbus A330-200 aircraft start to fly to Mumbai, India; from 14 May 2011 and highlights our commitment to this route by offering an enhanced product to our valued customers.

The A330-200 aircraft will operate the Johannesburg-Mumbai route on 14 May 2011, much sooner than scheduled. Over and above providing connectivity, our valued customers can look forward to an enhanced product and the added comfort and convenience offered by this impressive aircraft.

Seating 36 passengers in business class and 186 in economy, the aircraft will feature the latest in-flight entertainment and will be used primarily on long haul routes from the airline's bases in Johannesburg and Cape Town.saa plan to use the airbus a332 on london heathrow route

SAA received its first Airbus A330-200 in February 2011 and its second A330-200 in March 2011. The first aircraft is already operating commercially to London, UK.

SAA, Africa's most awarded airline, will receive an additional three Airbus A330-200 aircraft every second month from July 2011, with the final A330-200 delivered at the end of December 2011. These modern aircraft offer supreme ergonomics, an airy open cabin, and sophisticated, personal touch-screen entertainment systems featuring Bollywood films.

For the comfort of our customers, lie-flat beds are offered in Business Class, while Economy Class features a more spacious cabin.

Mumbai Service:

SAA operates from Mumbai four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) at 02h35 and into Mumbai from Johannesburg four times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) at 11h50.
